Will the signature remain readable?
The compressor keeps the highest JPEG quality that fits the limit and reports when a target cannot be achieved safely.
Can I change the 50 KB value?
Yes. The preset is editable if your portal states a different maximum.
Can I use PNG?
Yes, but lossless PNG may be larger than a strict maximum; JPG is usually preferable for form uploads.
