Document redaction

Draw boxes over Aadhaar numbers, phone numbers, addresses or bank details — on images or on every page of a PDF. The boxes are painted into the pixels themselves, flattened, so nothing underneath survives in the download.

Verify before sharing

Redaction is destructive by design. The painted areas cannot be recovered from the output file, and redacted PDFs are rebuilt as flattened page images with no text layer left behind. Always open the downloaded file and confirm every sensitive area is covered before sharing it.

How it works

01

Upload the document

A photo, scan or single-page PDF. A preview appears for marking.

02

Draw over sensitive areas

Drag boxes over every number, address or detail that must not be shared. Undo and redraw freely.

03

Download the flattened copy

The boxes are painted into the pixels — the output has no hidden layer that could be removed.

Common questions

How is this different from drawing on the photo in an editor?

Many editors keep annotations as a separate layer or vector object that can be deleted, revealing the original. FormReady flattens boxes into the raster image itself.

Can redaction be undone after download?

No — that is the point. The covered pixels are replaced permanently. Keep your own original if you need the full document later.

Why should I still check the downloaded file?

Only you know every place sensitive data appears. Open the download, zoom in, and confirm each area is fully covered before sharing.
