Eligibility helper

Age as on date

Enter your date of birth and the cut-off date printed in the notification. The exact completed years, months and days are calculated the way eligibility rules count them.

Everything is calculated in your browser. Dates are not uploaded or stored. Always confirm the counting rule ("as on" versus "before") in the official notification.

How it works

01

Enter your date of birth

Use the date exactly as printed on your certificate.

02

Enter the cut-off date

Notifications name a specific date such as 1 January or 1 August of the examination year.

03

Read completed years

Eligibility rules almost always use completed years — the months and days show how close you are to a boundary.

Common questions

Why does the notification's cut-off date matter so much?

Age limits are checked on that one date, not on the application date or the exam date. A single day can change eligibility.

How are months and days counted?

The calculator counts completed calendar years, then completed calendar months, then remaining days — the standard civil method that recruitment boards use.

Is my date of birth uploaded?

No. This page calculates everything inside your browser and sends nothing to a server.
