Which output format compresses best?
JPG and WebP compress photographs far better than PNG. PNG is lossless and is mainly useful for graphics, screenshots and signatures.
Will the image dimensions change?
Only if the limit cannot be reached at the original resolution. The compressor prefers adjusting quality first and reduces dimensions gradually as a last resort.
Is the promised size guaranteed?
Yes. The actual generated file is measured before download. If a limit is impossible, the tool says so instead of delivering an oversized file.
